Recycling Knows No Season

Kirbyville students and families enjoyed the recycling-themed reading time on Wednesday, Dec. 3. Our guest speakers were Debbie Redford from the City of Branson and Joyce Stroud, regional planner with the Department of Natural Resources, Solid Waste Management Division. The students learned how long trash will remain in a landfill and what kinds of things can be made from recycled items. The students read more about recycling in books and on the web and read and followed directions to recycle objects that would usually be thrown away into useful items. Enjoy this slide show that shows some of our fun!
