The top construction news this week is that the new preschool/PAT facility is almost under roof! The construction workers rolled out the insulation and began covering it with the metal roof this week. The picture is a little hazy because it was taken on the morning of one of the hottest days so far this year!

A room with a view...
Check out the view from the new Parents as Teachers office. The large picture window provides a lovely view of the preschool playground, which will be alive with activity in August when the new school year begins.

1st-4th grade field trip schedule change
Due to the rainout of today's swimming trip (6/12/09), we will go swimming at the Branson Rec Plex on Tuesday, June 16 instead of going to Stockstill Park. The trip will leave at 11:00 a.m. All first through fourth grade students need to be sure to wear their swimsuits and bring their towel and sunscreen on Tuesday.

Nature Center Field Trip
Although more than a sprinkle of rain on the bus windshield threatened to dampen our trip, the skies cleared and we enjoyed a beautiful day at the Springfield Nature Center and Living Memorial Park.

Summer School Perfect Attendance K-4
Students in grades K-4 who have perfect attendance in summer school will be invited to attend The Amazing Pets Show at the Grand Country Theatre. Students will enjoy the zany animal acts and comedy. In summer school, tardies and early pick-ups do not count against perfect attendance like they do during the school year. Come to summer school everyday and enjoy this special trip!
